When Tammi moved to Yangon, Myanmar several years ago, she started a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) club in her own apartment after not being able to find one in the city. She eventually joined forces with Jojo & Jerome of Yangon Yoga House, sharing the yoga studio to teach BJJ classes. That led to them opening Yangon’s first 100% vegan restaurant, Nourish Cafe.
Now, Tammi is living in Bangkok and recently opened up the brand-new Bangkok branch of Nourish Cafe, which is located on the second floor of Bangkok Fight Lab.
I sat down to talk with her about:
- Why she doesn’t eat breakfast
- How her and her family went vegan
- Why she got into martial arts
- Being an expat in Asia
- Factory farming/animal cruelty in SE Asia
