Wahooo it’s time for another monthly TILRN! I missed June, but did anyone notice?
As always, below are the links to TILRN lists from past months in case you’re interested in reading them:
1. Smoothie bowl with dates
I’ve been having smoothies almost every morning this summer, and I love playing around with different combinations. I really need to start writing them down though, because every time I make a really great smoothie I always forget what I put in it. lol.
Nevertheless, this combo is guaranteed deliciousness:
- 1.5 or 2 bananas
- 2 dates
- handful frozen mango
- 1/4 cup almond milk
BLENNDDDDD!! Top with cereal, almond butter, more fruit, granola, chia seeds, whatever your heart desires!
2. Barbara’s Cinnamon Puffins
I love having these as a snack or as a topping for my smoothie bowls.
They’re crunchy, flavorful, and low in sugar (something that I always look for in cereals)! And they don’t taste SUPER healthy like other healthier cereals (thinking of weetabix or plain cheerios). AKA they taste good.
Confession: I watch the Bachelor/Bachelorette.
Confession #2: I am obsessed with Sharleen Joynt from Juan Pablo’s season.
She’s gorgeous, smart, talented, chic, and has THE BEST HAIR EVER… ya I have a major girl crush.
She also runs this great blog called All The Pretty Pandas where she recaps the Bachelor/ette and it’s pretty great. She gives a “how the sausage is made” perspective to the show, and also provides links to the contestants’ clothing so that readers can shop their favorite looks of each episode.
^ I MEAN…. HOW STUNNING IS SHE. UGH.
4. Up First Podcast
This is a new-ish podcast from NPR, and provides a quick 10 minute rundown of the day’s top news stories. I listen to it every morning before my workouts, and it’s a great supplement to my other news source (The Skimm).
5. Trader Joe’s Candied Ginger
This is currently my fave post-meal snack. I always have a sweet tooth after I eat, and this is a great way to satisfy that inevitable craving.
If you like ginger, you will LOVE this stuff. It’s spicy from the ginger and sweet from the sugar, making it the perfect snack… kinda healthy, kinda unhealthy.
If you don’t have a Trader Joe’s near you, can you buy it online on Amazon.
6. NYX Liquid Suede Lipstick in soft-spoken
I recently bought this at Target because I wanted a less-intense but long-lasting lipstick, and I love it! The “soft-spoken” shade is nude/mauve and is good for a more natural look.
I also love NYX because it’s not only affordable but also cruelty-free! Woo!! It’s pretty hard to find drugstore makeup that is cruelty-free, so I really appreciate this company.
This lipstick is $7 and can be found at Target, CVS, Walmart, Ulta, or online!
I’m wearing it in the pic below…
